No major problems with this car, just the usual service items,drive belts, filters, brakes, tyres etc. |
| General comments: |
The Mondeo has been a very reliable, comfortable and economical car to own. If it weren't for the 'blue oval' you could be forgiven for thinking that you were drivng a VW, it has a very similar 'feel'. For its age, it can keep up with its more modern contemporaries in the way it performs, the handling is still superb, even at this high mileage. Having regularly driven the car across mainland Europe and at high speeds on the Autobahn, I can confidently say that the Mondeo is more than capable of coping with a wide variety of driving conditions. It can easily eat up thousands of miles and the driving experience is still very rewarding, it still feels like a much younger car. To get the best out of this car, servicing is paramount, especially the cam belt and oil pump drive belt change. If you stick religiously to the service schedual, then this car should last for many more years. |
